About Spiral Pizza and Chicken
Our History
Spiral Pizza was established in 1965 by Wayne Koepke, who, along with his wife Susan, built a beloved community restaurant known for its delicious, handmade Pizzas and Broasted Chicken. For decades, Wayne and Susan dedicated themselves to creating a warm, welcoming Pizza place that locals could trust.
The restaurant's legacy was passed down to Tom and Sarah, who continued to uphold the philosophy of Spiral Pizza and Chicken. After many successful years, the ownership transitioned to the current owner, Dave Maniak, and his family.
Dave had been a longtime regular at Spiral Pizza-, and made a career switch from the construction industry to take over the restaurant he had loved for 15 years. Dave and his family proudly uphold the legacy of Spiral Pizza and Chicken, continuing to use the original 1965 recipes that everyone loves.
Even today, Wayne Koepke occasionally stops by to check in and see how his cherished restaurant is doing.
At Spiral Pizza and Chicken, we pride ourselves on our team-oriented philosophy. Our close-knit staff, many of whom are local community members and friends, work together like family. This supportive environment is evident in everything we do, from the care we put into our food to the way we treat our customers and each other.
Our commitment to the Hastings community extends beyond our doors. We actively support the HHS sports teams and participate in local events like monthly punch cards and discount programs for football and softball. We even sponsor a billboard for Prescott baseball, and Hastings McNamara Stadium/Todd Field, showing our dedication to local sports and youth activities.
